For a day of fun for the whole family, be sure to head along
to the Kloof Conservancy’s River Day this Sunday 5th August at the
Interpretive Centre, Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, in Kloof.
As part of their “Back to Nature” event series, the
conservancy has a host of fun and educational activities lined up, the purpose
of which is to learn about our rivers in an interactive way. There will be awards for the kids and an
exciting raffle for the adults!
A short talk will be given by river expert Dr Mark Graham, and
after lunch, Honorary Officers will be on hand for guided walks to Iphithi
Falls. Entrance is R30 for adults and R15
for children under 12 and includes entry into the reserve. Boerewors rolls, cooldrinks and tuckshop
snacks will be on sale and while your support is appreciated, you are also more
than welcome to bring along your own picnic.
This event has kindly been sponsored by Kloof Village Mall
SuperSpar. Let’s show our support for
the environment and have some fun doing it!
